During her years of medical training she had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of locations including New York City, Miami, rural North Carolina and several months of electives in Puerto Rico. It was an exciting opportunity to gain experience with diverse patient populations and needs. Dr. Acevedo is fluent in Spanish and loves taking care of her Hispanic patients!
Dr. Acevedo loves her patients of all ages and backgrounds but also has a special interest in newborn care and breastfeeding, obesity medicine, as well as childhood development and education.
In her spare time she enjoys traveling, hiking, four wheeling, and playing the piano and guitar. She is also a homeschool teacher for her children and enjoys seeking out all of the learning opportunities that the Raleigh area offers.
The best way to explain her style as a physician is to share one of her favorite patient comments;
“ Dr. Acevedo is thorough, patient and kind.”
